Faith Formation at Abiding Presence

Lifelong Faith Formation is a focus for us here at Abiding Presence.  
We have ministry opportunities and experiences for all ages.

Children of all ages are welcome in worship.  

Children’s Church

During the Word portion of worship children ages 3-5 years have a chance to hear the Gospel message in an age-appropriate way. Nursery is available for children 0-3 years of age. 

Please know that infants and children of all ages are also welcome to worship with us in the sanctuary.  We have pew chairs and booster seats just for them.

Sunday School
Available for ages 3 yrs to adult. Each Sunday from 9:45 to 10:45 am (September - May).

Confirmation Ministry
For 6th - 8th grade students to prepare them to affirm their Baptism in May of 8th grade.
Bi-weekly classes, Wednesdays 6:45-8:15 pm
 

A one-week summer Confirmation Camp experience helps to further understand and live out the meaning of our faith and build community.

Bible Scholars

3rd - 5th grade students

We want our children and youth to have God’s Word in their heart,  that they may better know God’s love for them.  Our Bible Scholar ministry does just that.  We offer opportunities for all ages to learn, know and be enriched by God’s Word.

 
We provide four age-appropriate Bibles that span from infants -  8th graders.  Parents are encouraged to read Bible stories with their children. 
Stepping Stones, a seasonal newsletter just for parents of infants – 5th graders, provides weekly Bible reading suggestions.

 
Holy Communion Learning Events

Help our children grow in understanding about Holy Communion.

One-time First Communion class for children ready to receive Holy Communion for the first time.

Cross+generational service events

For people of all ages to touch our community, and the world, in Jesus’ name

Example: Annual spring break trip to New Orleans allows all ages to be part of  the renewal of the city and make a difference in people’s lives.
